Entertainment     *Come play Punter's Choice on a Saturday evening

                            *Live performances the last Friday of each month

Fisho’s                

Should you be interested in fishing, membership of the Nowra Bowling Club Fisho's Club is available for a further $5.00 fee.  Please ask at the bar for Michael Mitchell or Ray Watsford.

Our Restaurant

At Nowra, The Rinks Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner every day.   Chinese, Thai and Australian meals are available. Reservations, take away orders or

banquet bookings can be placed on 4423.4293.  

Courtesy Bus

Our courtesy bus is available on Wednesday, Friday & Saturday evenings to collect you from your home or deliver you home safely within the 5kms radius of the Club.  Please ring the Club before 4.30pm and speak to the bar staff to make your booking to be collected by the courtesy bus.

History of the Nowra Bowling & Recreation Club

Nowra Bowling Club was officially formed in 1914, although there has been some speculation that there were weather reports dating back to the 1890’s recorded at the Club, however this cannot be proven today. 

In the early days of the Club, membership was restricted to gentlemen from local businesses and those persons thought to be of the “right” character or community leaders. Thankfully those

attitudes changed over the years and today our club enjoys the benefits of a wide ranging and

diverse membership. Membership now totals 3900 and is growing each year.    

Over the last 10 years, the Club has undergone several major renovations to update and improve the facilities offered to members and their guests. The Club now boasts a new outdoor pavilion, a larger poker machine area and modern dining facilities to name a few.

The Club offers several social activities which we run each week, including Bingo, Meat Raffles, Trivia and Punters Choice.    

Throughout the history of the Club, we have considered ourselves to be an important part of the Nowra community by offering support to those who request it, either financially or in-kind by making the premises available to them.
